About

Baselius College, Kottayam was established in 1964. The college was accredited by NAAC with B++ level. The college stands for academic excellence, development of skill and character so as to produce intellectually matured, morally upright, socially committed and spiritually inspired men and women. The aim of the college is to develop the potentials of the youth and providing them with spiritual, intellectual and physical values.

The College is situated in the heart of Kottayam town, in the MD Seminary Compound
The objective of the college is to inculcate the sense of discipline, social responsibility and community service in the youth and also bring home to them the dignity of manual labor

National Cadet Corps- National Cadet Corps, the biggest youth organisation is functioning under the Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India. It inculcates discipline and sense of unity and patriotism in youth and trains in defence preparedness
National Service Scheme- To promote respect for labour, discipline, Gandhian principles, national integration and work culture, we have at present 3 NSS units in our college

Clubs:

Mens Forum- In order to promote fruitful co-operation among the male members of the faculty and the student community of Baselius College, a Men's Forum has been introduced. This forum plans beneficial activities for men through seminars, discussions etc. in which issues and problems faced by men can be widely addressed
Womens Forum- It organizes discussions, seminars and awareness programmes, focusing mainly on women's issues and needs in tune with the times
Blood Donors Club- The members continue the work of the good Samaritan by donating blood and they save precious human lives and keep the dignity of the human race

the admission process wasn't actually difficult, we just have to go to the college on the date. there we can see the principal and other officials, we just have to fill the forms. I personally got admission using management quota. eligibility of the course is accordi6to the mark. 80 % mark is just enough I think. details of application form ,fee and application fees are given in the college website . reservation for application is highly recommend as you will get a consideration among others. admission was actually easy. you just have to go there. there you can meet the teachers etc

The admission is purely based on marks obtained in plus two. Anyone who passed plus two can apply for the course. Sc St students have special seats for each course. Grands are provided for students based on their economic background also based on caste.
