About MGM IFD
MGM Institute of Fashion Design was established in 2011 and has since been offering professional education programs at the diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate programs in fashion design. MGM IFD has thus played a significant role in promoting the fashion industry in India. The institute has an experienced faculty including a majority of highly qualified and UGC - NET holders and currently has the strength of more than 200 students, as of 2019.
The institute offers B.Des in Fashion Design and Textile Design, M.Des in Fashion Design, Textile Design and Fashion Management program, also the institute has a 2-year diploma and 1-year certificate programs to the aspirants. Admissions are based on the marks secured by the students in the respective Institute level entrance examinations. The institute offers several facilities including sports, extracurricular, accommodation, and the central library.

MGM IFD Placement
Placement opportunities are provided to most students. Others choose higher studies or made arrangements for themselves via contacts an alumnus. All leading retailers and export houses are part of the placement drive.

At MGM IFD the staff puts efforts at acquiring best possible employability and entrepreneurship skills for the students. - Garment Construction Lab: MGM IFD has huge Garment Construction Labs. The labs are equipped with state of art industrial machines to produce garments with industry-ready quality. It hosts a complete range of apparel manufacturing equipment
- IT Lab: MGM IFD has state-of-the-art computing facilities comprising the latest machines. Students can leverage the power of IT and experience the learning process which is both informative and interesting. Students and faculty members alike can access the internet throughout the campus with the help of Wireless Network.
- Auditorium: The in campus Rukhmini Auditorium serves as an excellent venue for ‘Kaleidoscope’, the annual fashion show and other major college events.
- Seminar Halls: Einstein and Aryabhatta, these spacious and well-equipped seminar halls are used for all guest lectures, seminars and training workshops.
- In Campus Hostel: MGM IFD has well maintained hostel facilities for both boys and girls within the campus.
- Art Gallery: The MGM art gallery,‘Kaladirgha’ hosts the annual fashion exhibition showcasing the final themes and deigns of students
