Symbiosis Institute of Design offers a 4-year B.Des. programme at the undergraduate level and a 2-year M.Des programme. Symbiosis Institute of Design Admission 2024

Symbiosis Institute of Design Admission 2024 is open for M.Des. Students who fail to qualify for the SEED with a valid score, will not be considered for Symbiosis Institute of Design Admission. Given below is the admission process for Symbiosis Institute of Design.

• Visit the official website of the institute https://www.sid.edu.in/. 
• Choose the “M.Des Registration Form” tab under the announcements section, on the middle left of the home page. 
• Click on Register for new user registration.
• Fill out the registration form and make payment for the successful submission of the application.
• Appear for SEED, as per the notified dates.
• Once a candidate qualifies for SEED with a valid score, he or she will appear for the SID’s Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction (PRPI) round.
• The student has to upload the portfolio one day before the PRPI round.
• Students will be given three days to perform the PRPI task, and the candidate has to upload the task one day before the PRPI round.

Important Note: Symbiosis Institute of Design B.Des final admission will be based on the performance in the SEED, PRPI Task, Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction.

Symbiosis Institute of Design Scholarships

Symbiosis Institute of Design offers scholarships to deserving students with the motive of acknowledging their hard work. One merit scholarship is awarded by the Symbiosis Society Foundation to a student of the Symbiosis Institute of Design providing a 50% academic fee waiver. Students of Symbiosis Institute of Design are also eligible for the University Sports Scholarship where each of the students gets INR 24,000 for their outstanding performance. The students are required to fill out an application form stating their personal details, examination scores, and education details followed by an undertaking. The following scholarships are offered by the institute:

• Merit Scholarship: Symbiosis Institute of Design merit scholarship is available for one student only. The student must have a minimum of 8.50 CGPA. If two or more students qualify for the merit scholarship by Symbiosis Institute of Design, the weighted average of marks of class 10 and 12^th will be considered as a tie-breaker.
• University Sports Scholarship: Symbiosis Institute of Design Sports scholarship aims to recognize and reward students based on their performance in the sports field. The scholarship is available for five students only offering them an amount of INR 24,000 each.
• Jayatee Deshmukh Award: SID Pune “Jayatee Deshmukh Award” is given to the “Best Outgoing Girl Student” at the time of convocation every year in the form of a Gold medal.
• NER Scholarship for North Eastern Students: Symbiosis Institute of Design NER scholarship is available for students coming from North Eastern regions comprising eight states as follows, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Manipur, Mizoram and Sikkim. The scholarship covers a full academic fee waiver for the students. A total of 8 NER scholarships are available at the undergraduate level.

• Labs and Studios: Symbiosis Institute of Design has various labs and studios available for its students. SID Pune computer labs have the latest computers with specialized application software. There are high-quality coloured and black & white laser printers and scanners available on the campus.
• Library: Symbiosis Institute of Design library started in August 2006. There are two sections of the library – the reading hall and the thinking room. SID Pune library has more than 13,000 books, 1243 educational audiovisual collections, and 15 e-resources.
• Auditorium: Symbiosis Institute of Design has a well-furnished and air-conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of 585 students. It has a generator backup facility.
• Health Care: Symbiosis Institute of Design has an in-house health care centre that offers medical facilities to students, teaching and non-teaching staff. It has a team of specialist doctors who are present on the campus.
