Admissions at Ghatal Rabindra Satabarsiki Mahavidyalaya is based on the scores obtained by the candidate.
- For admission to Hons courses, the score is calculated by adding 10% of the total marks obtained in the ‘best five’ subjects of Higher Secondary or equivalent plus marks obtained in the subject in which the admission is sought.
- For admission to general courses Merit points will be calculated by adding the marks obtained in the ‘Best Five’ subjects in Higher Secondary / equivalent with the marks obtained in the subject to which the admission is sought.
- No separate entrance exams are conducted by the college for any of the courses offered. The following documents are to be submitted after confirmation of admission.

Ghatal Rabindra Satabarsiki Mahavidyalaya offers various scholarships to its students. Apart from the government. scholarships the college provides the following scholarship assistance to the students.
- Jindal Scholarship: Sponsored students are eligible for a scholarship worth INR 500 per month for 50 students based on merit-cum-means.
- Students Aid Fund: A percentage of students belonging to the BPL Categories are given a concession in tuition fees (3-months exemption for Hons. students and 2-months exemption for General students)
- BPL Students: The College gives a concession in tuition fees for BPL students on the basis of merit.
