Candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu, but have passed 10+2 education from another state are also eligible. All they need to do is submit a nativity certificate.
Candidates who are the children of central government employees can also apply for TNEA. However, the nativity certificate of their parents/guardians serving the state of Tamil Nadu continuously in the last five years has to be shown.
Children of the All India Service Tamil Nadu Cadre officers are also eligible for TNEA.
