Students seeking campus accommodation must apply separately on a form issued by the College office. Admission will be granted only after an interview with the candidate, her parents, and/or local guardian. Hostel admission is granted for one academic session and an application for readmission has to be made at the start of every academic year. Hostel Fees is a consolidated INR 10000, exclusive of mess charges.

Tihu College Scholarships

The following scholarship schemes are offered to help the needy and meritorious students:

Two poor yet meritorious students (one each in Arts & Science Streams) in TDC 1st Semester are given the provision of free admission by Dr. K.K.Talukdar, Principal, Tihu College. Interested students must apply to the Principal after ensuring that their names have appeared in the Selection List.
All College fees (except GU/AHSEC related fees, e.g. Tuition Fee, Admission Fee, Enrolment Fee, Registration Fee and Students’ Union Fee) shall be exempted for Rank holders of SEBA/ AHSEC examination at the time of admission into Tihu College.
Tihu College has taken initiative to enroll 10 and 5 number of meritorious and deserving poor students freely in the TDC level Arts and Science stream respectively from the current academic session. In those cases, the students have to show the required documents.

Ques. What is the process for hostel admission?

Ans. Girl students seeking hostel admission should apply on the prescribed form issued from the college office. It shall be finalized on the basis of a personal interview with the candidate parents and/or local guardian. The interview will be held in the presence of the Principal and the Warden. Re-admission to the Hostel is made afresh each year.

Ques. Can a candidate change his/ her selected subject?

Ans. Yes, if a candidate wishes to change his/ her subject after taking admission, he/ she must apply to the Principal within 7 days from the commencement of classes. However his/ her application shall be granted on the basis of availability of seats in the concerned subject, with the nod of approval by the concerned Head of the Department.

Ques. What is the total number of seats in BA and B.Sc.?

Ans. There are 600 seats (Day Shift: 400 and Evening Shift: 200) in B.A and 300 seats (Day Shift: 200 and Evening Shift: 100) in B.Sc.

Ques. When are the BCA and PGDCA admissions conducted?

Ans. BCA admissions are conducted once a year in June while PGDCA admissions are conducted twice a year during June and December.
