For UG admission OUAT and ICAR conduct admission tests. For PG and Ph.D., admission OUAT conducts the admission test. Registration for the OUAT and ICAR examination is online. 25% seats (8 seats) in UG filled up by ICAR. Admission is conducted through spot counseling.

The CAET has a well-functioning placement cell. The placement cell ensures pre-placement training of each student in tandem maintaining a strategic relationship with the recruiters. The placement cell published a brochure for placement, presenting the holistic data of every academic year.
The CAET has an Information and Placement Bureau (IPB), working since 2001. The IPB invites companies, MNCs/ Corporate and arranges on-campus recruitments for students; creates awareness about the emerging job trends globally. The bureau ensures a smooth operational environment for the recruiters on the campus.
There are more than 25 companies actively recruiting CAET students each year.

Ques. What are the other research programs offered at the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology?
Ans. The CEAT conducts various research projects, this practice provides students with a wider scope for learning and development of technical skills. The College has research collaborations with Govt. Departments and Corporations, ICAR institutes, MNRES, DST, Govt. Of India, ISRO, BPCL, local farm industries, etc. Also, the college conducts four All India Coordinated Research Projects (AICRPs). The college also operates many externally funded projects from different Govt. The organization, which further contributes to education, research, and infrastructure development. The College owns the Farm Implements Design Unit, Farm Machinery Testing Centre, and a Central Instrumentation facility.
Ques. Can any science graduate student apply for an M.Tech program at the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology?
Ans. Yes, only a student with B.E/ B.Tech in agriculture is eligible to apply for the M.Tech program at CAET.
Ques. What are the admission fees required for B.Tech admission to the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology?
Ans. Yes, during the spot counseling students have to pay the admission fee amount. The admission fee for B.Tech agriculture is INR 1,11,355.

Only two seats for Ph.D. are available in each department, one is for regular students and the other one is for an in-service person.
