At the undergraduate level, the college offers Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) course in multiple specializations including Environmental Sciences, Entrepreneurship Development and Forensic Sciences. The minimum required eligibility for admisison to B.Sc is that the candidates should have passed in HSC level (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized board of education.

At the postgraduate level, the college offers Master of Science (M.Sc) course in a number of specializations including Fisheries, Forensic Sciences and Pharmaceutical Chemistry. The minimum eligibility for candidates seeking admission to M.Sc is to possess a graduate degree from a recognized university. The corresponding degree is preferable in the relevant stream of study.

• Candidates are shortlisted for admission on the basis of performance of the candidate in the qualifying degree examination.
• The final selection is done on the basis of the final merit list prepared by the college based on candidate’s academic qualifications.
• The shortlisted students should appear in person for the final admission while ensuring that all the required original documents are available for verification.
• The admission will be confirmed only after completing all the required process inclusive of document verification and payment of required fee.

At the research level, Holkar Science College offers Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in multiple specializations including Geology/Earth Sciences, Microbiology and Environmental Sciences. The minimum required eligibility for Ph.D course is the candidates should possess a Master’s degree in the relevant stream from a recognized university.

• Admission to the Ph.D. programs is done on the basis of marks scored in the Doctoral Entrance Test (DET) followed by an interview.
• The entrance examination and the interview are conducted by the Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore.
• All the eligible candidates have to prepare a short presentation before the interview done in the area of research.
• Financial assistance will be provided to full-time Ph.D. scholars in form of research fellowship.
