VAVC of Arts, Kedarnath Malhotra College of Commerce, E.S. Andrades College of Science Admissions 2023: Courses, Eligibility, Selection Criteria

The institute offers a three year full time Bachelors degree in Arts, Science, Commerce, Management Studies, 

B.Sc. is offered in- Science (General), Computer Science, Information Technology, and Biotechnology.

Eligibility Criteria

B.A.- Candidates must have passed class 12 with English as the main subject OR cleared class 12 with English as one of the main subjects along with vocational subjects.

B.Sc. in Computer Science / Biotechnology- A candidate must have passed 12th standard examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Education or its equivalent with Mathematics as one of subjects.

B.Sc. Information Technology- A candidate must have passed 12th standard examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Education or its equivalent with Mathematics as compulsory subject and should have secured minimum 45% marks in aggregate for open category and 40% marks in aggregate in case of reserved category candidates in one sitting.

B.Com in Banking and Insurance- A candidate must have passed 12th standard examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination and secured minimum 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of reserved category) at one and the same sitting.

BMS- A candidate must have cleared 12th standard examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or Its equivalent examination.

• Or, candidates must have a diploma in any engineering branches with two years or three years or four years duration after the S.S.C. conducted by the Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra State or equivalent examination.
• Minimum marks required for Open category are 45% and for Reserved category 40%.

Selection Criteria

Admission to the program will be based on merit secured in the last qualifying examination.

How to Apply for UG Programs?

1. Students are required to register online for admission available on the website of University of Mumbai. Click here 
2. Registered students are required to fill in their personal details, upload photograph, signature along with all the educational certificates and documents pertaining to reservation.
3. Students are required to select the course they are interested in and select Vidyavardhini's Annasaheb Vartak College of Arts, K.M. College of Commerce, E.S.A. College of Science College from the list of affiliated college.
4. Students will be required to confirm the details pertaining to the eligibility and present the required documents as stated in the portal.
5. Upon verification and N.E.F.T transfer of the fees, the student will be given provisional admission. Once verified by the University of Mumbai, the admission of the student will be confirmed.

Vidyavardhini's Annasaheb Vartak College of Arts, K.M. College of Commerce, E.S.A. College of Science offers two year full time Masters of Art in three specializations-

• History
• Economics
• Marathi

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criterion to pursue MA is that the candidate must be a graduate in any discipline from any recognized university with 55% marks or equivalent GPA.

Selection Criteria

Admission to the program is granted ont the basis of merit secured in the last qualifying exams.

The institute offers an M.Com. and M.Sc. at the pG level. M.Sc.is offered in Computer Science and Information Technology.

Eligibility Criteria

M.Com.- Candidates must have passed in B.Com. (General/ Banking & Insurance/ Accounting & Finance/ Financial Markets) or BMS from a recognised university.

M.Sc.- Candidates who have cleared the following degree examination are eligible

• B.Sc. Information Technology with minimum 45 percent marks.
• Or, B.Sc. Computer Science with 45 percent marks or, BE in IT / Electronics. Telecom / Computer Science with minimum 45 percent marks.

Selection Criteria

Admission to the program will be granted on the basis of the candidate’s performance the last qualifying examination.

How to Apply for Postgraduate courses? 

• Candidates are required to register on the official website of Mumbai University. They need to fill the application form followed by a pre-enrolment form online.
• Candidates are required to fill in their personal details, upload photograph, signature along with all the educational certificates and documents pertaining to reservation.
• The candidate must select the course and select Vidyavardhini's Annasaheb Vartak College of Arts, K.M. College of Commerce, E.S.A. College of Science college from the list of affiliated colleges.
• Upon selecting the course, candidates will have to confirm the eligibility criteria. They will be given details of the entrance examination that will be conducted by the Mumbai University.
• Candidates must download their admit cards and appear for the entrance examination on the said date and time. The candidates must wait for the Mumbai University first merit list 2021 list based on the marks scored by candidates in the entrance test/ last qualifying exam.
• The University releases three merit lists based on the different categories of the candidates and programmes. Candidates who manage to clear the merit lists must report to the college for document verification and counselling procedure.
• Upon verification and N.E.F.T transfer of the fees, the student will be given provisional admission. Once verified by the University of Mumbai, the admission of the student will be confirmed.
