School of Distance Education of University of Calicut offers a total of 26 programs, 14 of which are UG courses while 12 are PG courses. - For BA courses, the students who have passed Higher Senior Secondary are eligible to apply for this course.
- For B.Sc courses, the students are required to pass 10+2 with a major subject as their core subject.

Eligibility
For MBA, any candidate with a UG degree in any field with at least 50% marks is required. Those who are eligible must appear for the entrance exam.
Selection Process
To be eligible for the MBA program, candidates must appear for CUMAT i.e Calicut University Management Aptitude Test and are given admission on the basis of marks scored in the same.

How to Apply for Calicut University Distance Education 2023
To apply for any UG course or PG course Calicut University Distance Education, candidates need to apply online on their website. Then submit the printout of the filled application form at the college with enclosing required documents. The steps are:
- Login on the website of School of Distance Education- http://www.sdeuoc.ac.in/
- Go to online registration.
- Click Sign Up and enter the details of your – Aadhaar Card, E-Mail, Mobile Number.
- After successful registration, Sign In using Aadhaar card number and email-id.
- Select the course and fill the required details.
- Upload your photo in JPEG format and select Submit.
- Then, you will be directed to the payment window. Pay the required amount. (The fees must be paid online only).
- After successful payment, take a printout of the application form.
- Send the application form with required documents to the Director, School of Distance Education, University of Calicut, Calicut University.P.O., Malappuram-673635.

- Original Challan receipt for the required fees.
- Original Transfer Certificate of last institute studied,
- Original and self-attested copies of Qualifying Certificate and Mark lists.

- Community Certificate, if eligible for relaxation on basis of cast.
- Those who do not avail the facility of spot admission should enclose a self-addressed envelope (without stamp) of size 30cm x 25 cm.
- Those who have completed Plus Two through the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) should submit an Equivalency Certificate issued from the University of Calicut.
- Visually challenged candidates should submit a Medical Certificate.

For Spot Admission
The Calicut University Distance Education Centre also provides candidates with an option of Spot Admission. For this, candidates can submit their applications along with all the required documents directly in SDE. They should remit ₹60/- as spot admission fees. The original certificates of these candidates will be returned on the same day after verification.
Calicut University Distance Education Scholarship 2023
Students belonging to SC/ST/OEC are exempted from the payment of tuition fees and examination fees only if they are not employed in Govt., Quasi Govt., or Public Services. These students need to submit their duly required documents with the application form at the time of admission to avail concession fees.
Visually Challenged candidates are also exempted from the payment of all types of special fees and examination fees on submission of medical certificate.
