St. George’s College Kottayam Aruvithura Admission 2024: Courses, Fee Structure, Dates, Application Form

SGCA offers various UG courses. Some specializations are Aided while some are Self-Financed. Candidates passing Higher Secondary School 10+2from recognized universities are eligible to apply to CAP for admission.

Eligibility for UG

• B.Sc., B.C.A.: - Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary or 10+2 pattern in Science stream with Maths /Biology /Computer Science as optional subject are eligible for B.Sc. and B.C.A from recognized Board / University.
• B.A.: - Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary or 10+2 patter from recognized Board / University.
• B.Com. :- Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary or 10+2 pattern with Book- keeping and Accountancy and any two of optional subject from Part III examination from a recognized Board / University

Admission Process for UG

• Candidates must apply for Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for merit.
• Merit list and date of Interview will be published on the Notice Board.
• Interview should be attended with all the required documents
• Seat is allocated after the payment of the fees.
• If there is any vacancy it will be published on the notice board.

Eligibility for PG

• M.S.c.: - Candidates who have passed B.Sc. in relevant specialization are eligible for admission from a recognized University.
• M.Com. :- Candidates who have passed B.Com. or BBA from a recognized University

Admission Process for PG

• Admission to M.Com. and some M.Sc. Specialization course is through PGCAP.
• Admission through PGCAP is through the merit in qualifying degree.
• Admission to some M.Sc. Specialization is based on merit basis in the qualifying degree while others are given admission on the basis of CAT-MGU.
• Shortlisted candidates will be called for the counselling where candidates have to select preferences of specialization.
• Seats will be allocated based on preferences, rank obtained and availability of seats.
• Candidates are required to bring the necessary documents during the counselling round.
• Following documents are required during counselling.
  • Matriculation certificate for date of birth
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Marks sheet of (Institution last attended)
  • Provisional certificate (Institution last attended)
  • Migration certificate (if applicable)
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  • Income Certificate (if applicable)
  • BPL Certificate (if applicable)

SGCA offers Ph.D . Program in only Chemistry. Candidates having a relevant Master’s Degree are eligible.

Eligibility

Candidate who have passed M.Sc. in Chemistry with 60% aggregate are eligible to apply for the course

Selection Criteria:

Admission to the program is on basis of Written Test followed by Interview. Students who have qualified in the following examinations are exempted from WAT.

• • JRF & Teaching Fellows
  • M.Tech/ M.Phil (all disciplines), MD, MS & MDS (Modern Medicine, Homoeopathy and Ayurveda) Degree holders in the subject of research concerned
  • Regular and permanent teachers from the University Departments and the Government/Aided Colleges in Kerala
  • NET/SLET/GATE/GPAT/ JEST/ RGNF/ UGC/ CSIR/ ICAR/ICMR qualified candidates
  • DST Women Scientist Awardees and Scientists from reputed government organizations
  • KSCST/INSPIRE/MANF Fellowship Awareness

• Candidates exempted form WAT are qualified for admission on basis of:
  • Interview
  • Result of qualifying Degree
  • Letter of consent showing vacancy position of the Supervising teacher.
  • Letter of Agreement of the Head of the Research Centre
