Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Civil Engineering is an undergraduate engineering degree of four year duration. 10+2 pass students with science subjects are eligible to take admission in this course. Admission in most of the colleges offering Civil Engineering is done though any of the entrance tests conducted at national and state level.

Average tuition fee for this course ranges between 2 to 4 lakhs in most of the public institutes and 3 to 6 lakhs in private colleges. However there are some government colleges which offer this course at very less tuition fee.

Civil Engineering is not that much popular course of choice due to the software and electronics boom of the past two decades, which has pushed this field into the sidelines.  A Candidate for admission to the four-year degree course in Engineering must have passed the Intermediate examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects, or any other examination recognized by the Osmania University as equivalent thereto.

1. All the eligible applicants for admission into First Year shall have to qualify in the EAMCET Examination conducted by the Govt. of AP. The candidates will be admitted strictly in accordance with the merit secured at the Entrance Examination keeping in view the rules in force regarding the reservations of seats of various categories of candidates.
2.  The seats shall be filled either on the basis of rank  obtained in  EAMCET  or  of securing not  less than  50%  in  aggregate  or  in  group  subjects (Maths,  Physics  and  Chemistry)  in  the  10+2  qualifying  examination.
