CGPIT Admission 2024: Eligibility, Selection Criteria, Application Process

CGPIT offers Bachelor of Technology in 10 different specializations under UG discipline and Diploma in engineering course in 4 different specializations; here we are providing the details for the same:

CGPIT Surat B.Tech and Diploma in Engineering Selection Process:

Notes:

• Up to 5% relaxation is given to reserved category candidates.
• Out of the total seats, 75% of seats will be filled through counseling conducted by ACPC, and the remaining 25% is reserved as management seats.
• As per the norms of ACPC B.Tech admissions will be carried out through the web-based online admission process.

Here we are providing the details of the full-time postgraduate program; Master of Technology in 9 specializations, to be eligible candidates must have GATE or PGCET scores.

The program is offered in the following 9 specializations:

CGPIT, Surat M.Tech Eligibility criteria:

• Candidates must have completed B.E./B.Tech. Or equivalent examination with minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST/SEBC candidates) for seeking admissions from any recognized University.
• Candidates whose final results or the result of any backlog are awaited can apply provided they pass the qualifying examination.

CGPIT, Surat M.Tech Selection Process:

• Admission is through a counseling process based on the rank obtained in Gujarat PGCET Exam 2021.
• Candidates have to select the college at the time of counseling.
• Based on the rank obtained and college selected, seat allotment will be done
• Selected candidates will be informed through a call.
• All the selected candidates need to report at the college for further admission process along with valid documents.

Note: Students who have qualified GATE exam are exempted from PGCET.

The CGPIT also offers Doctorate degree of Ph.D in 3 engineering specializations which details are tabulated below:

CGPIT, Surat Ph.D Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates have a Master’s Degree in the subject concerned or in related subject with at least 55% marks in aggregate.
• The admissions to Ph.D are conducted as per the norms of UTU, Gujarat.
• A relaxation of 5% of marks or an equivalent relaxation of grade, is allowed to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Able candidates.
• Only candidates who qualify with a minimum of 50% marks in the entrance will be invited for admissions.

CGPIT, Surat Ph.D Selection Criteria:

• Candidate has to be present in the Ph.D Entrance Test conducted by UTU Gujarat.
• Those candidates who have cleared the UGC/ JRF /NET Exam or equivalent will be exempted from written test only.
• Selected candidates list will be displayed on the official website and called for Group Discussion Interview.
• Final merit will be based on Entrance score, Group Discussion, and Interview.
