Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants seeking admission to the Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

  • An applicant who has graduated in any discipline of knowledge from a University established by an Act of Parliament or by a State legislature or an equivalent national institution recognized as a deemed to be University or foreign University recognized as equivalent to the status of an Indian University by an authority competent to declare equivalence, may apply for a three years’ degree program in law leading to conferment of LL.B. degree. 
  • For General candidates, Graduate/Post-Graduate Degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or Foreign University recognized as equivalent by the University of Delhi with at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade point in the aggregate in either of them.
  • For other backward classes (OBC) candidates, Graduate/Post-Graduate Degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or Foreign University recognized as equivalent by the University of Delhi with at least 45% marks.
  • For Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) candidates, a Graduate/Post-Graduate Degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or Foreign University recognized as equivalent by the University of Delhi with at least 40% marks. ( As per Bar Council of India requirements)
  • Relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum eligibility prescribed for general candidates will be allowed to widows/wards of ex-servicemen as prescribed and wards of serving personnel (CW) category who are in receipt of Gallantry awards
  • Relaxation of up to 5% marks in the minimum eligibility prescribed for general candidates will be allowed to the candidates belonging to physically handicapped (PH) category. Provided that the above minimum qualifying marks

During my under grade I joined one of the Ngo and from there I realized that " The one who don't know about his own rights are more vulnerable towards exploitation" so I decided to do an LL.B so that I could spread legal awareness in society with the help of other Ngo. The faculty of law is quite good and nowadays most females are choosing law as a career option Because of that the gender ratio in Du Faculty of law is approximately 50:50.
