About IIS University
IIS (Deemed to be University), Jaipur, was established in 2009 and is one of the leading institutes of the country located in Jaipur. It has been accredited by the NAAC and recognized by UGC. With about 4500 students enrolled in various programs, the university has a total of 14 departments offering UG, PG and Research programs in the fields of the Sciences, Arts and Social Sciences, and Commerce and Management along with several professional courses like Bachelors in Education, Fine Arts, Journalism, etc. This year, the University has also introduced several new professionals and co-educational programs such as Library and Information Science, Forensic Science, and a Diploma in Clinical Psychology. In addition to their degree courses, the candidates can also opt for Diploma/ Certificate programs.
Admission to these courses is done on the basis of merit scored in the last qualifying examination. A one-year professional diploma in Clinical Psychology has been approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), Government of India, admission to which is done through an entrance exam followed by a Group discussion and Personal Interview round. Admission to MBA is based on valid scores in CAT/MAT examination followed by a GD/PI round. Admission to Ph.D. is through Research Entrance Test (RET). The University also offers scholarships for meritorious/National Level Sports Achievers.
The University follows the semester system and its academic year is conducted in two semesters, Odd & Even. The Odd semester starts in the month of July and extends until December, while the even semester begins in the month of January and ends in the month of June. The theory and practical semester-end examination are conducted in the month of November-December (Odd Semester) while during the even semester the examination is held in the month of April-May. The results of the semester-end examination and supplementary examination is uploaded on the website of the University within 30-35 days after the commencement of the examination. IIS University Admissions
Candidates seeking admission in any of the courses will require to fulfill the basic eligibility requirements. One can apply through the online application portal available on the official website of the university. They must submit the duly filled-in application form along with the prescribed registration fee. Admission is granted on the basis of merit scored in last qualifying examination. However, for MBA, admission will be granted on the basis of CAT/ MAT. The admissions in Ph.D./ M.Phil is done on the basis of the Research Entrance Test (RET) conducted by the university. Admission to professional diploma in Clinical Psychology is based on an entrance exam followed by a Group discussion and Personal Interview round.

Scholarships: The University provides merit-based scholarships to students at the time of admission. The scholarship details are:
95% and above = Rs. 15,000/-
85% to 94% = Rs. 8,000/-
Freeships: The University offers financial aid in the form of Freeships on a merit cum need basis, to encourage the students to achieve the highest academic excellence.
Research fellowship and support: The institution grants Research Fellowships as well as outsourcing funds to selected candidates.

- Labs- The University has 41 labs with adequate equipment like Thermal Evaporation Thin Film Unit, UV Visible Scanner, FTIR, Nano Evaporator, etc., and 66 proprietary software besides Departmental labs in the Faculties of Science and Social Sciences, Research and Development (R&D) Laboratories, Language Lab, Computer Science and IT Labs with reprographics facilities.
