- A pass in +2 level examination with minimum 60% aggregate marks with Physics, Maths and Chemistry as compulsory subjects.
- SC/ST candidates just need to pass (no minimum marks).
- Those who have studied Biology/Electronics//Statistics/Computer Science in addition to above subjects are also eligible.
Candidates qualifying any of the Test (KVPY/JEE Main/JEE Advanced/NEET) requires to meet the specific eligibilty for the admission.

IISc Bangalore BSc admission is based on national-level exam scores. The institute shortlists candidates for admission on the basis of KVPY, JEE Main, JEE Advanced, and NEET UG exam scores.
