Ph.D. is a doctoral research degree. It stands for Doctor of Philosophy. Ph.D. is offered to 868 universities in India and LIBA is one of those. Generally, a Ph.D. takes 3 years to complete but it can take up to 5 years for completion.

Ph.D. admissions are based on UGC/CSIR, CAT/XAT, or GATE scores.

LIBA Ph.D. Course Highlights

  • Application forms are available at the website of the University of Madras. 
  • The form is to be downloaded and has to be filled up and submitted at the Registrar, the University of Madras along with an INR 5,000 in Demand draft.
  • The Ph.D. program is offered in disciplines such as marketing, finance, economics, systems, human resource,s, etc.
  • As per the University Guidelines, the LIBA Ph.D. program is conducted on a non-stipend basis.

LIBA Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must have the following qualifications to satisfy the eligibility criteria:

  • A Master’s Degree with at least 60% aggregate in the same degree.
  • Candidates with First Class Post Graduate degrees in Management are eligible for enrolment in the Ph.D. program.

LIBA Ph.D. Admission criteria

  • The Entrance Exams that a candidate needs to sit for are CAT and XAT. 
  • CAT 2023 will be held on November 26, 2023, and XAT will be held on January 7, 2024.
  • Admissions in the Ph.D. program take place on the basis of the performance in Qualifying Exam, Written Test, and Personal Interview.

  • Create an account proving the required details like username, password, mobile number, e-mail, etc
  • The next step is to log in to the account and fill in the details like name, LIBA id, CAT/XAT id, photo in the specified format, and then click on submit.
  • Make sure the details entered are proper so crosscheck once, after entering the details.
  • Pay the application fee.
  • Download the application form and mail it to admissions@liba.edu
  • The applications are evaluated on the basis of the qualifying admissions, Entrance Test, and performance in PI or Group discussion.
