Established in 1979 by Dr. Verghese Kurien, the Institute of Rural Management Anand popularly known as IRMA Gujarat has been graced over the years by National and International luminaries from the field of academics, culture and politics. The institute ranked 21st among private colleges by IIRF Ranking 2023. It was ranked at 58th position in Management Category as per the NIRF Rankings 2022. In 2019, IRMA was ranked at 22nd position by the Week Hansa Research Best B Schools in India Survey. It was ranked 15th among the top 100 B schools in India as per the Times B school. In UDT top 10 Indian business schools ranking for Research, the Institute for Rural Management Anand ranked 8th.
