Biju Patnaik Institute of Information Technology and Management Studies Bhubaneswar was established in the year of 1999. It is affiliated to the Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Rourkela, Orissa. The institute got its NAAC accreditation in 2022. Also, certified with ISO 9001-2015 Certification in the year 2021. The institute offers its flagship courses MBA and IMBA programs in various disciplines. Admission to MBA programs is on the basis of valid scores in OJEE/CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/ATMA and for IMBA admission is based on scores in OJEE.

BIITM has been awarded the “Best Management College '' Odisha Education Award 2019. BIITM has achieved the milestone of 100% admission against AICTE-approved 240 seats in the year 2020-21, & moreover, 7 seats were filled up within OJEE Rank 100. This is in keeping with BIITM’s past record of achieving 100% admission against AICTE-approved 180 seats.

In the current placement season, 115 companies visited the BIITM campus, and 351 offers were generated. The highest salary package for the batch 2022 was 37.00 lakhs per annum. BIITM offers Summer Internship programmes (SIP), Add on Programmes, Up Skilling programmes, and Industrial visits for students pursuing a management degree. MBA students from the batch 2017-19, 2018-20, and 2019-21 have been awarded the University Gold Medal.

Admission to BITM is done through online mode. Admission to IMBA is through OJEE scores. Below are the steps to apply for the same:
