Toc H Institute of Science and Technology was established in 2002 and is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (AKTU) and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Government of Kerala. TIST offers a B.Tech program at the UG level, M. Tech, and MBA at the PG level along with the PhD program at the Doctoral level. Admission to B.Tech and M.Tech programs is granted based on KEAM and GATE scores, respectively. Admission to the MBA program is offered based on KMAT/CAT/CMATE score. TIST offers top-notch facilities to all its students is to produce best engineers and researchers in the domain of Science, Technology, Engineering and Management Studies. Below are some of the facilities which TIST provides.
Smart Classrooms: TIST has SMART (Stimulating Measurable Attainable & Reliable Thinking) classrooms in each department to provide a dynamic learning ambiance to students, and these classrooms are well-equipped with a video/data projector, a DVD combo unit, an overhead transparency projector with a slide projector. These classrooms also have less high-speed internet connectivity.
Library: The institute's main library is located in the center of the institute to facilitate easy access of study material to students of all departments together with MBA and Digital libraries in addition to 10 other reference libraries for each department. All the library functions are regulated by the Vivekananda Central Library. This library is well-equipped with LMS software, surveillance cameras, 25 systems, a projector along with audio-video facility to arrange activities like video conferencing and guest lectures by foreign professors and industry experts.
Hostel: Institute has separate hostels for girls and boys and can accommodate 700 students simultaneously. These hostels are well-furnished with hygienic and comfortable rooms, mess with both types of food vegetarian and non-vegetarian, study rooms, TV recreation, internet (Wi-Fi) facility, 24*7 security and ambulance facility along with rooms for the stay of guests and family members who come to meet students.
