St. Xavier’s Catholic College of Engineering (SXCCE), Chennai Admission 2024: Cut Off, Important Dates, Scholarship

SXCCE offers B.E in 5 specializations and B.Tech in Information Technology. The minimum qualification for this program is Higher Secondary Examinations (10+2) as prescribed by the Tamil Nadu Government with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as three main subjects in the curriculum.

Candidates who have passed B.Sc. or Diploma in engineering by the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply for the lateral admissions to the program.

Admission will be done on the basis of TNEA counselling. TNEA Rank is issued based on the marks in 10+2 in Science stream.

Key points regarding admission:

• Candidates must register themselves in TNEA conducted online by ANNA University to be eligible to claim their seat in SXCCE. 
• Candidates should have a domicile of Tamil Nadu to be eligible for admission.
• Candidates who possess Diploma in Engineering awarded by the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu or equivalent are also eligible to apply to the third semester of the program.
• Candidates under lateral entry will have to undergo two additional engineering subjects as per the guidelines of the university in their third and fourth semester exams.
• Online registration fees of TNEA for the general candidate is INR 500 and INR 250 for SC/ST or other reserved categories.
• Applicants must enroll themselves in the counselling program after the rank is declared.

The college offers M.E., MCA and an MBA program as undergraduate courses. The minimum qualification for these programs is a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent as prescribed by the Tamil Nadu Government.

Admission to ME/MBA/MCA courses is provided on the basis of the performance of the candidates in TANCET, conducted by Anna University.

Candidates with a valid GATE score will also be considered for admission in M.E. Those with a valid score in CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT are also considered for admission in MBA.

• Admission to M.E. degree courses is carried out through central counselling organized by Anna University, Tamil Nadu Common Admission (TANCA).
• PG courses are offered in full-time and part-time mode.
• Candidates seeking admissions in a part-time program will have to satisfy other conditions like experience or sponsorship, etc. as indicated by the Syndicate of the university.
• Tamil Nadu Common Admission (TANCA) and Syndicate of the University releases the updated criteria for admission every academic year.
• The eligibility conditions for admission such as the class obtained, the number of attempts in the qualifying examination and physical fitness will be as decided by the Syndicate of the Anna University.
