SVEC Admissions 2024: Cut Off, Courses, Fees

Admission to the B.Tech program is offered to those students who qualify EAMCET. To know more about other eligibility requirements, refer to the following section:

Eligibility Criteria

Passed +2 from Andhra Pradesh Board with PCM or other equivalent exams from a recognized board. And, the candidate must satisfy local or non-local status requirements as proposed by the Andhra Pradesh government.

Admission Process

Students must appear and qualify for the EAMCET entrance, to be eligible for admissions.

EAMCET Requirements

Students willing to appear for the Engineering exam have to pay a fee of INR 500, (SC/ST to pay INR 250). The following is a gist of the application submission procedure: 

• APSCHE releases the application form.
• There are 3 main steps involved in completing the EAMCET Application Form.
• The students must ensure that they fill the application and keep a print out of the payment receipt.
• Students must fill in their personal details and upload their recent photograph along with the signature.

Documents Required

• AP Online Transaction ID/Credit Card or Debit Card transaction details
• Hall ticket Number of the Qualifying Examination
• Scanned images of photograph and signature
• Date of Birth, Birth District, Birth State
• Aadhaar Card details
• Details of qualifying examination appeared or appearing
• Local Status (SVU/AU/OU/Non-local)
• Admit card number of SSC or equivalent examination Certificate
• Income of Parents (Income up to INR 1 lakh or up to INR 2 lakhs).
• Academic details.
• Category (SC, ST, or any other backward caste) and application number of the Caste Certificate (in case of SC/ST only).

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admissions, the students must fulfill either of the following given criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university. OR
• AMIE/AMIETE or recognized by UPSC as equivalent to B.E/B.Tech. AND
• Valid GATE or PGECET scores

PGECET

PGECET is taken by those students who wish to apply for M.Tech. The application fee for the general category is INR 800. Students who are GATE qualified are exempted from appearing for PGECET.

Documents Required

• Mark sheet of X and XII/hall ticket number.
• Scanned copy of candidate’s recent passport-sized photograph 
• Candidate’s signature 
• Income certificate of Parents issued by MRO or Competent Authority (if applicable)
• Caste certificate issued by a competent authority (if applicable)
• Local Status (OU/ AU/ SVU/ Non-local)
• Special category certificate (NCC/ PH/ Sports/ CTS etc)
• Transaction ID (payments at TSOnline Kendra)
• Debit/ Credit Card/ Net Banking details
• Aadhaar Card

How to Apply?

There are three phases of application that must be filled with utmost care. Applications for admissions are accepted online through the official website.

The following steps to fill an application, have been given below:

• The applicants must register first as a new user by filling in the required fields to generate a new user id and password.
• Using the credentials generated during registration, the applicant must log in to start filling the application.
• Fill in the required fields and submit the information.
• Finally, the applicants should upload their scanned documents, accept the declaration, pay the fee and submit the application. 

OR

Apply for GATE 

GATE is required by those students who are willing to apply for a master’s or Ph.D. program. The section below throws light upon the registration and requirement of documents.

Documents Required

• Scanned photograph and signature 
• Valid Photo ID (Aadhaar Card/Passport/Driving License/PAN Card/Voter ID/College ID/Employee Identification Card/Notarized Affidavit with Photo, Signature, Date of Birth and Residential Address).
• Degree Certificate/Provisional Certificate/Course Completion Certificate.
• Copy of mark sheet of V /VI /VII semester.
• Final year students must submit Provisional Certificate Letter as per format issued by the Home of Institute/Dean/Registrar/Head of Dept.
• Candidates in the final year of AMIE have to submit their mark sheet for Section A of AMIE in case of professional equivalent qualifications.
• Caste Certificate/Disability or PwD Certificate (if applicable).
• Candidates pursuing a higher degree or masters have to submit the qualifying degree certificate.

Around 70% of seats are reserved for students admitted through merit and entrance for MBA. The following table throws light upon other prerequisites for pursuing MBA:

Eligibility Criteria

Students must have scored 45% in any relevant discipline in the bachelor’s degree. Also, the candidate must satisfy local or non-local status requirements as proposed by the Andhra Pradesh government.

How to apply for ICET?

An application fee for INR 550 for applying for the entrance is required. Student can apply at https://sche.ap.gov.in/ICET/ 

The students must fill the application form with the relevant details and submit it before the deadline.
