Centralized Admission Committee (CENTAC) conducts counseling process for admission to B.E./B.Tech courses.
Candidate seeking admission to B.Tech courses (through CENTAC) in SGCET should have passed Higher Secondary Examinations (10+2) with minimum 45% marks (40% marks for OBC/ BCM/ MBC/ EBC/ BT/ SC candidates) in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Biology/ Biotechnology. Candidates who have completed HSC in Vocational stream can also apply.
After the last date for registration of application, a merit/rank list is prepared based on the candidates aggregate in 10+2 exams. For other state candidates, their score in JEE-MAIN is considered as a cutoff. The candidate will be called for counseling based on their ranking on their merit list. In the counseling process, the allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate’s choice and their rank.
Lateral Entry admission is done directly by the Institute. The applicant seeking admission for B.Tech course should have passed Diploma Course in the relevant field with minimum 45% (40% marks for OBC/ BCM/ MBC/ EBC/ BT/ SC candidates) marks in the pre-final and final semesters from a recognized university or equivalent accepted by the University.
