Sardar Patel Institute of Technology (SPIT), Mumbai Admission 2024: Cut Off, Eligibility

For admission to B.Tech program offered by Sardar Patel Institute of Technology (SPIT), candidate should have completed 10+2/HSC with science subjects i.e. Physics, Mathematics and any of the following subjects -  Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology with a minimum of 50% marks.

Candidate should have valid score in MHT-CET conducted by DTE or JEE Main, conducted by CBSE. Such candidates will be allotted seats through Centralized Admission Process (CAP) conducted by DTE Maharashtra.

For candidates belonging to Maharashtra state, it is mandatory to appear for MHT-CET entrance test. 5% relaxation in qualifying exam criteria is given to candidates belonging to SC/ST category.

SPIT CAP Cutoff 2023 (Expected)

SPIT offers M.Tech course in two disciplines along with MCA degree course at PG level. Candidates seeking admission to M.Tech course must possess a BE/ B.Tech degree in relevant discipline with at least 50% marks. Selection of candidates to the M.Tech courses is done on the basis of GATE score and it is mandatory for candidates to have a positive score in GATE.

Candidates applying for MCA course should have passed minimum three-year duration Bachelor’s Degree course with at least 50% marks. Candidate should also have studied Mathematics as one of the subjects at (10+2) level or graduate level examination. Candidate should possess valid MAH-MCA-CET scores.

• In case of MCA admissions, all seats are filled by the Central Admission Process (CAP).
• 20% of the total seats in M.Tech course are filled at the institute level by the college itself, rest 80% of the seats are allotted through CAP.
• SC/ST category students are provided a relaxation of 5% in the eligibility criteria of qualifying examination.

In addition to UG and PG courses, SPIT also offers Ph.D degree in 4 disciplines and the minimum eligibility criteria is that the candidate should have at least 55% aggregate marks in the Master’s degree. Candidates who have passed M.Phil degree course with at least 55% marks are also eligible.

• Candidates are required to appear for PET (Ph.D. entrance test) conducted by the University of Mumbai in order to be eligible for selection.
• If a candidate is qualified in GATE examination, he/she is exempted from appearing in the test.
• Eligible candidates shall be given provisional admission only after undergoing centralized interview by a panel at the College/Institute/University/Department.

Candidates who have passed the Master’s degree partly by Papers and partly by Research with 55% marks and has obtained clearing grade in thesis (Wherever awarded) will be eligible for registration for the Ph.D. degree.

• Ph.D. program offered by SPIT is available only in full-time.
• For SC/ST students, there is a relaxation of 5% in the required qualifying marks.
