Sardar Patel College of Engineering (SPCE) Mumbai Admission 2024: B.Tech, M.Tech, Ph.D

Candidates seeking admission to B.Tech offered at Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Mumbai may do so by applying online through MHT-CET. The admission details are tabulated below.

Eligibility

• For B.Tech, candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects with minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for Backward class and PWD candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together.
• For B.Tech (Lateral), candidates must have passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks for Backward class and PWD candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only),
• Alternatively for B.Tech (Lateral), candidates with B.Sc. from a recognised university as defined by UGC and obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks for Backward class and PWD candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed 10+2 with Mathematics as a subject, are also eligible.
• Students appearing for 10+2 or Engineering Diploma are also eligible.
• Maharashtra State candidates must have to appear for MHT-CET.
• All India candidates need to appear for MHT-CET/JEE Mains. However, JEE Mains will be preferred over MHT-CET.

Selection Criteria

• Admission is through counseling conducted by DTE Maharashtra based on marks obtained in Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHCET) or rank obtained in JEE-Mains.
• For international students admission is through counseling conducted by DTE Maharashtra based on marks obtained in mandatory subjects in 10+2.
• The admission for first-year engineering degree courses is done through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP).
• To become eligible for CAP the candidates need to register their application online. They can visit the website of the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra and fill-up the form.
• Candidates have to report to the Application Form Receipt Centre (ARC) for document verification. 
• Candidates will be shortlisted for CAP rounds based on their score in the entrance exam and preferences given by them for courses and colleges. Below is the list of cut off for different specializations

• The seat will be allotted to the candidates as per the counseling round I, II and III.
• Finally,  candidates have to report to the allotted institute and complete the admission process, which includes document verification and fee payment.

• The registration fee for General candidates is INR 800/- and for reserved category candidates is INR 600/-.
• Submit the completed application form.
• Take the hard copy print of the application form for future reference. 
• As mentioned in the hard copy of the application form, the list of documents need to be taken to the facilitation centre with their hard copies for verification.

Candidates seeking admission to M.Tech offered at Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Mumbai may do so by applying through DTE Maharashtra website. The admissions to the programs will be based up on the GATE score.

Eligibility

• Candidates must have passed Bachelor Degree in a relevant field of Engineering and Technology from AICTE or Central or State Government approved institutions or equivalent, with at least 50% marks. (45% for backward categories and physically disabled candidates)
• Candidates having a valid GATE score

• Candidates have to report to the Application Form Receipt Centre (ARC) for document verification. 
• Candidates who have appeared GATE and have marks above qualifying marks are only eligible for admission through CAP.
• The seat will be allotted to the candidates as per the counseling round I, II and III.
• The candidate who has got allotment must report & confirm his/her admission by fulfilling necessary procedures, which includes document verification and fee payment.

Candidates seeking admission to PhD offered at Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Mumbai need to appear for PET, conducted by the University of Mumbai. 

Eligibility

• Candidates should hold a Master’s Degree/ M.Phil. Degree in relevant discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks (general category) or 50% marks (Reserved category).
• The applicant should be a teacher having full-time teaching experience of at least two years in Degree College or five years in Junior College.

Exemption from PET Exam:

• Candidates who are qualified in UGC -NET/UGC-CSIR NET/SLET/GATE/INSPIRE/ and any other JRF holder of the body like CSIR/UGC/ICAR/ICMR/DBT/DST/ICSSR.
• Candidates who have passed the M.Phil course of UOM or any other recognized university.
• Ph.D degree holder of UOM or any other recognized university.

Selection Criteria

• Admission is through the score obtained in the PET exam conducted my the University of Mumbai, and the interviews conducted by the University of Mumbai
• 70% weightage is given to the PET exam and 30% to the interview.

• In the ‘Latest News’ section, click on the Ph.D. Entrance Test link. 
• Then click on the PET Ph.D. Application link and click on the ‘Apply Online’ link. 
• After successful registration, login ID and password is generated. Enter the login ID and password to fill the application form. 
• After entering all the details, print your filled application form for future reference. 
• Appear for the examination.
• The candidates who have qualified in the entrance test will be called for interview/viva-voce. 
• The merit list for the M.Phil./Ph.D. programme shall be prepared by the University, on the basis of the performance of the candidate in the entrance test and the interview/viva-voce.
