Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering and Technology (commonly known as RGCET) is a premier private engineering institute located in Puducherry, India under Sri Balaji Educational and Charitable Public Trust, and affiliated to Pondicherry University.
Courses offered at undergraduate level are Bio Medical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering. The college also offers postgraduate courses such as Master of Business Administration, Master of Computer Applications and M.Tech.
Eligible candidates are selected on the basis of marks scored in last qualifying examination.
At undergraduate level, Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering and Technology (RGCET) provides courses like Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and B.Tech (Lateral) to the aspiring candidates who want to pursue their career in the field of Engineering. The admission in B.Tech is done on the basis of marks scored in 10+2 level or equivalent in concerned subjects. Candidates who have obtained the minimum required marks in their last qualifying examination are eligible to apply for B.Tech courses in Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering and Technology.
Students who have passed Diploma Examination or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in relevant discipline are eligible to take admission in B.Tech (lateral). The admission process is done on the basis of marks scored in last qualifying examination, i.e., Diploma or B.sc.
Note: Relaxation of 5% of marks is given to SC/ST candidates in comparison to 50% marks required for General candidates

At postgraduate level, Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering and Technology offers three courses such as Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration, Master of Computer Applications (MCA) in Computer Applications and Master of Technology (M.Tech) in various specializations. The courses offered are for a duration period of two years. Intake capacity depends upon the nature of specializations as opted by the candidates.
Candidates who have studied and passed Graduation level in relevant discipline are eligible to apply for the above mentioned courses in this college. In case, candidates fail to meet the eligibility criteria will be eliminated from the admission process.
