Mizoram Polytechnic, Lunglei

Mizoram Polytechnic, Lunglei is the first polytechnic in the state. All the initiatives of this institution have been continuously focused on improving the quality of Technician Education in the region. Located at about 235 kms from the capital city of Aizwal, this institute was struck by the worst cyclonic storm of 1991, demolishing the Assam type Workshop, college building, various machinery and equipments coating lakhs of rupees.

• Infrastructure- The College is already more than 27 years old with machineries and equipments calling out for replacement by modern ones. The College provides well equipped computer facility and library to the students.  
• Co-curricular activities – Sports, essay and debate competitions, along with cultural activities and other programmes are organized regularly to simulate interest of the students in all spheres of life and thus overall development of students take place.
• Facilities– Hostel accommodation for both boys and girls is provided by the institution. The College also has in place transport facility for students and staff.
