KLN College of Information Technology B.E./ B. Tech Admission 2023

KLN College of Information Technology (KLNCIT) offers B.E. in four and B. Tech degree in one discipline(s). To be eligible for admission in B.E./B.Tech program, a candidate should have passed 10+2 in science stream with at least 50% marks. For admission to B.E./ B. Tech course, Anna University conducts TNEA.

Only those candidates who have passed classes 8^th-12^th from Tamil Nadu state are eligible to apply. However, those candidates who have passed classes 8^th-12^th from institutions located outside Tamil Nadu are also eligible provided that they produce a “Nativity Certificate” of Tamil Nadu.

KLN College of Information Technology M.E./M.Tech Admission 2023

KLNCIT provides M.E. degree course in four disciplines and M. Tech in Information Technology. For admission to M.E./M.Tech course, candidates must have passed B.E./B.Tech examination with 50% marks.

The selection of candidates is done on the basis TANCET entrance examination conducted by Anna University. However, GATE qualified candidates are preferred over TANCET qualified candidates. GATE qualified candidates are exempted from sitting in TANCET. Admission to M.E./M.Tech is done through central counseling TANCA.

KLN College of Information Technology Application Process 2023

For B.E./B.Tech (TNEA)

Candidates have to register online at TNEA official website.
Application fees is INR 500 for general category and INR 250 for reserved category.
Candidates have to submit the online application either in person or by post along with other documents to the Secretary, TNEA, Anna University, Chennai – 600 025
Candidates have to enclose the photocopies of the following certificates along with the application form:
1. SSC and HSC Mark Sheet.
2. HSC admit card.
3. Transfer Certificate from last institute studied.
4. Permanent Community Certificate Card for ST, SC, SCA, MBC & DNC, BC and BCM.
5. Nativity Certificate. (If applicable)
6. First Graduate Certificate and First Graduate Joint Declaration. (If applicable).
7. Relevant certificates for Son / Daughter of Ex-Serviceman, Son / Daughter of Freedom Fighter, Differently Abled Person and Eminent Sports Persons (if applicable).
After form filling candidates will have to sit for counselling. Online counseling will be conducted on June 27.
For counseling fees candidates have to pay an initial deposit of INR 5000 (INR 1000 for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu) by cash or DD and produce all their original certificates during counselling.

For M.E./M.Tech

Candidates have to fill the application form for TANCET by visiting the official website of Anna University.
Application fees are to be paid online. Application fees is INR 500 for general candidates and INR 250 for SC/ST candidates.
After declaration of result of TANCET candidates have to register again at Anna University website for attending counselling.
Fees for counselling is INR 5300 for general candidates and INR 1150 for SC/ST candidates. Fees is to be paid via cash or DD drawn in favour of “The Secretary, TANCA, Anna University” payable at Chennai.

Various scholarship programs available for deserving candidates are as follows:

Merit cum Means based (Minorities Welfare) Scholarship: This scholarship is for minorities (Christian, Sikh, Muslim, Buddhist and Parsi).
Scholarship for SC/ST/SCA candidates: SC/ST/SCA candidates whose parental income (annual) is less than INR 2, 50,000 are eligible for this scholarship.
Government of India National Scholarship Scheme.
