If you go for IEM, you can stay in Kolkata and prepare for various examinations like GATE, CAT, etc. Also, IEM is more affordable. So, choose accordingly.

- It won’t be reliable to take admission in IIIT Nagpur as it is new. Though it possesses a good faculty and placement record.
- You can take CS at IEM confidently as the faculty is well experienced and possess relevant qualifications.
- Besides, IEM is situated in one of the biggest IT hubs of east India.
- Mostly all IT companies near the college visit the campus for recruiting and conduct industry visits.

Every year around 150 students in B.Tech (CSE) and 18 students in M.Tech (CSE) get admitted to the department. The college attracts very brilliant students because of the department reputation as well as the excellent placement records. IEM Kolkata B.Tech (C.S.E) provides around 95% Placements in 2020, with the highest salary packages 22 lacks, and lowest packages with 4 lakhs.
- For CSE, renowned companies such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, IBM, Tech Mahindra, and so on come for picking up some talents. TCS, Wipro, and Infosys are the mass recruiters on the campus.
