Candidates should have passed 10+2 level from the science stream in order to be eligible to apply.

• Candidates must have studied Mathematics at 10+2 level in order to be eligible for BE admission.

Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology (GCETTS) offers admission to ME program on the basis of performance in the selection process as designed by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University (formerly WBUT). Selection process generally consists of a written test, followed by a personal interview. The syllabus of the written test is in line with that of the GATE examination conducted by the IITs.

 Reservation is in accordance with the regulations of the Government of India, with certain number of seats reserved for these categories. Category must be clearly stated at the time of applying to be considered.

• Candidates must have pass at the undergraduate level in the relevant stream of engineering.
• Minimum required aggregate is 60% in the graduation degree which is reduced to 50% for those from reserved categories or those with disability.
• Candidates with a valid GATE score will be considered with due proportions.
