Ghousia College of Engineering, established in 1980, is a Minority College in Karnataka. It is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University and is recognized by AICTE, New Delhi and the Government of Karnataka.
All departments at Ghousia College of Engineering are accredited by NBA for the third consecutive term. Also, the college has been awarded as Excellent College for Engineering in Karnataka, recently.
The college offers admissions in 6 specializations of B.E. and 4 specializations of M.Tech. The admissions are based upon state counseling and also upon merit.

To be eligible for B.E. admissions applicants must pass 2nd PUC or HSC with 50% overall and in PCM. They must either qualify UGCET or KCET.
M.Tech admissions are strictly based upon PGCET. In case students qualify GATE, they would also be considered for admissions on a priority basis. Also, they must score 50% in B.E/B.Tech degree.
Entrances for this minority college is conducted through KRLMPCA for undergraduate admissions. While counseling is state-based, done by KEA.
A common application for admission to B.E. and M.Tech programs is available online in the pdf format, which has to be downloaded, completed and submitted along with a fee of INR 500 by cash or through a DD.
Ghousia College of Engineering also has a placement training cell that helps students in honing their skills right from the first semester. Every year on an average 70% of students are selected for on-campus placements.

Ans. The College is situated on an expanse of 35 acres of land, about 45 KMs from Bengaluru on the Bengaluru-Mysore Highway. The Library is housed in a separate building with a separate Issue, Reference and General Reading Room Sections with a sufficient collection of books and subscribed to the e-Journals through VTU consortium e-Resourses data base. Hostel facility for about 600 students is provided in the campus with separate Hostel for Girls.The College provides Excellent Sports facilities for students including Gymnasium. Transportation facility is available for students coming from Bengaluru, Mandya, Channapatna & Ramanagaram.
