DY Patil College of Engineering and Technology started its first academic session in 1984-85 in Kolhapur. DYPCET is affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur. The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Engineering and Architecture. All the courses are offered under the departments of civil engineering, electronics engineering, mechanical engineering, production engineering, general engineering, chemical engineering and architecture.

DYPCET Kolhapur B.E. and B.Arch Admission 2023
DYPCET offers B.E. degree under six disciplines for which the annual intake is 240 students. For admission to B.E. courses, university prepares a merit list of all the eligible candidates who hold a valid JEE Main/ MHT-CET score. For B.Arch admissions applicants must have qualified Paper 2 of JEE Main. Merit list of the selected candidates will be prepared according to their scores.
Applicants must possess HSC (10+2) with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects and 50% minimum marks. Eligible candidates can apply through the forms available at the portal.

Key Points for Lateral Admission:
- For the admission to direct second year (lateral entry), candidate must have an Indian nationality and should have passed Diploma in Engineering or Technology with at least 45% aggregate marks.
- If the candidate has passed B.Sc degree from UGC recognized institution with at least 45% marks and passed 12th standard examination with Mathematics as the subject and with English as medium of instruction at B.Sc level are also eligible to apply for direct admission to second year.
DYPCET Kolhapur M.E. Admission 2023
DYPCET offers Masters of Engineering degree in two disciplines in which will be based up on GATE score and will be done through the counseling by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra.
Applicants must hold B.E./ B.Tech degree in the relevant disciplines with 50% aggregate to apply for admission.

Candidates will have to apply for the state level counseling through the official portal of DTE, Maharashtra.
Applicants can apply through both online and offline mode. For the online forms, candidates can fill the form available at the official website of DTE Maharashtra.
- The application fees will be calculated on the basis of candidature type, category, and person with disability.
- The admission fees for First year B.E. course is INR 800 for general candidates and for M.E. courses is INR 1000.
For direct admission to second year engineering courses:
- The application fees for general category candidates from outside of Maharashtra state and children of Indian workers in Gulf countries is INR 500.
- The application fees for reserved category candidates from Maharashtra state and person with disability is INR 400.
