DKTE Society's Textile and Engineering Institute was established in 1982 and is affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur. The Institute offers courses in the fields of Textiles, Engineering, Management, Computer Science, and Electronics. Courses Offered under UG domain are B.Tech. Under PG domain, it offers M.Tech and MBA. The Institute also offers PhD & Diploma programmes.

Admissions in all the courses are based on Entrance Exams. For B. Tech, the selection is on the basis of MHT-CET/ JEE Main and for M. Tech selection is on the basis of GATE.
For MBA, candidate will get admission on the basis of MAH-MBA CET/ GMAT/ CAT/ XAT/ GMAT/ ATMA/ CMAT. The admission in PhD is based on UGC-NET. The admission in Diploma programme is based on Merit in last qualifying exam.
