Chennai Institute of Technology fills its government quota seats students through Anna University’s admission process, viz. TNEA (UG) and TANCA counseling. 

The undergraduate level engineering candidates are admitted on the basis of their class XII marks through a centralized counseling process – TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions). 

Post-graduate level candidates for engineering courses are admitted on the basis of their GATE/ TANCET score through TANCA (Tamil Nadu Common Admissions).

For college admission, the candidate can either download the application form from the official website or can obtain the form from the college office.

• HSC Hall Ticket
• Nativity Certificate, if applicable
• First Graduate Certificate and First Graduate Joint Declaration, if applicable
• Srilankan Tamil Refugee certificate, if applicable
• GATE/ TANCET Score Card, for ME and MBA Candidates
• GATE/ TANCET Hall Ticket

Candidate should have passed 10+2 (45% for Open Category, 40% for Backward Category, 40% for Most Backward Category, 40% for SC/ST Category) from recognized board.
