Chandigarh Engineering College, established in 2002 is a part of Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran Campus, Mohali. The college is affiliated to the Punjab Technical University. 

At the UG level, the institute offers a B.Tech. under four specializations. To be eligible for admission, the candidates must possess a 10+2 qualification with PCM with a minimum of 45% marks. Admission to the program will be granted on the basis of JEE Main. 

At the PG level, the institute offers an M.Tech. in 4 disciplines, an MBA and MCA for a duration of two years. Admission to the M.Tech courses is based on the candidate’s GATE score. Admission to the MBA program is granted on the basis of CMAT.

Selection to the MCA program is done on the basis of merit secured by the candidates in 10+2 qualifying exams.

Chandigarh Engineering College B.Tech. Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission to B.Tech. program, the candidates must possess the following qualifications-

• Passed higher secondary exam with Mathematics & Physics as compulsory subjects and minimum 45% marks (relaxation of 5% for SC/ ST candidates) 
• Or Diploma in any Engineering trade or Passed 2-year certificate course from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology (SLIET).

Chandigarh Engineering College B.Tech. Selection Criteria

1. The applicants will be selected through a candidate’s rank in JEE Mains and the Aptitude test conducted by CBSE.
2. The counseling for the admissions will be done online.
3. 85% of seats will be reserved for the students of Punjab and 15% for the students outside the state.
4. The seats for B.Tech are also filled through the PTU Common Entrance Test (CET).
5. The exam consists of 4 sections in which the first three sections are designed to check the candidate’s aptitude in the core subjects.
6. The 4th section is designed to check the proficiency in the local language- Punjabi.
7. The paper consists of both objective and subjective questions

• To be eligible for admission, the candidate must hold a B.E/ B.Tech degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 50% marks.
• A valid score in GATE is also necessary.

Chandigarh Engineering College M.Tech. Selection Criteria

• The admission to the M.Tech courses is based on the candidate’s GATE score.
• Students will be admitted through the centralized counseling conducted by the university.
• The merit list of the selected candidates will be published on the official website of the college.

Aside from the M.Tech. program, the institute also offers an MBA and MCA for a duration of two and three years respectively.

Chandigarh Engineering College MBA & MCA Eligibility Criteria

MBA- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks & with valid rank in CMAT shall be eligible to apply for an MBA course.

MCA- Candidates shall be admitted to 3 year MCA course on the basis of inter-se-merit in the qualifying examination. All those candidates who possess a Bachelors’s Degree of a minimum of 3 years duration with Mathematics at 10+2 or Graduation Level. 

The candidate shall have obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examinations.

• For Admission to the MCA program, the candidates who clear the eligibility criteria will be selected on the basis of merit. The merit list will be prepared according to the candidate’s score in the qualifying exam.
• For MBA admissions, candidates must have valid CMAT score.
