CREC Tirupati Admission 2024: Dates, Eligibility, Selection Criteria

At the undergraduate level, Chadalawada Ramanamma Engineering College offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree program with the total annual intake of 540 seats. The B.Tech course is offered under five different specializations. All the B.Tech specializations are offered with the course duration of four-year consisting of eight semesters. Admission to B.Tech degree course is done through the AP EAMCET, a common entrance test conducted by AP Government.

The college also offers B.Tech lateral program under similar specializations with the total intake of 108 seats and is for three-year. Students who have successfully completed their Diploma in relevant discipline can apply for B.Tech (Lateral). However, a Common Entrance Test, AP ECET (AP State Engineering Common Entrance Test) is conducted for admission in lateral entry into B.Tech program.

Key points to remember for B.Tech and B.Tech (Lateral) Admission:

• 70% seats will be allocated on the basis of rank secured on AP EAMCET.
• 30% seats will be allotted under Management/NRI candidates.
• For admission in B.Tech (Lateral), 20% seats are available for intake on the basis of merit of AP ECET, which comes under lateral entry scheme.

At the postgraduate level, Chadalawada Ramanamma Engineering College offers Master of Technology (M.Tech) degree program under four specializations. The course duration of the M.Tech program is two-year consisting of four semesters. The total annual intake capacity for all the M.Tech specializations is 126 seats.

In order to be considered eligible for the M.Tech program, candidates must hold a B.E or B.Tech degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized institute and secure minimum required marks.

Eligible candidates seeking admission in the M.Tech program will have to appear in the State Common Entrance Examination known as Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET). Also, admission can be done through GATE examination.

• 70% of the total seats are to be filled on the basis of merit of the candidates in GATE / AP PGECET.
• 30% of the total seats are reserved for Management Quota.

In addition to the M.Tech program, Chadalawada Ramanamma Engineering College also offers two postgraduate level course- Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Application (MCA). The MBA and MCA programs are offered for a duration period of two and three years respectively. The intake capacity of the MBA program is 180 seats whereas the intake for the MCA program is 60 seats.

Candidates holding a graduation degree in any stream can apply for the admission in MBA program. To be eligible for MCA program, candidates need to hold a Graduation degree in relevant discipline with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.

 Admissions to the MBA and MCA programs are done through the State level Integrated Common Entrance Test (AP ICET) conducted by Government of Andhra Pradesh.
