Aspirants seeking admission to 4 year Full-time B.Tech Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.

Academic Requirement:

Candidate must have clearly passed without grace, intermediate examination of U. P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University; securing minimum 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST Category candidates) without grace in required subject combination of two compulsory subjects and one optional subject as prescribed by GBTU Lucknow and MTU Noida.

BIET Jhansi is an institution known for the fact that their students are capable enough to study and learn about the subjects all by themselves. The college encourages the fact that the students need little to no guidance from the institute itself. My sister was pursuing CS from BIET and she mentioned that the IT branch in the college is self-financed.

Students aiming for better salary packages and job opportunities have to work hard on their own. The complete dependence on the institute without much of your effort, will only provide you with the basic and comparatively lower salary package of 3 LPA.

Decide a branch that you prefer, after that go through the colleges of that particular branch. Pay attention to the college’s overall performance, placements, faculties, location, etc. as they are the major factors.

If you are inclined towards the IT sector and love coding then you should definitely choose IT. It will help you gain multiple opportunities in your career in the private sector.
If you are interested in building your career in the public sector, then the Chemical branch at IET Lucknow will be a better option.
You will get enough time for the preparation for exams like GATE or even PSU.
The Placement scenario at IET Lucknow for the Chemical branch is good. 64 students have been placed in the year 2020.

What should I choose, IT in BIET Jhansi or CS in JSS Noida?

BIET Jhansi is a government college whereas JSS Noida is a private college. I have heard a lot about JSS Noida as my brother graduated from this college last year. JSS being a private college charges a higher amount than BIET.

Both of the colleges are good enough to take admission but let’s compare it with a few factors.

The infrastructure of BIET isn’t up to the mark whereas JSS Noida is well-maintained and has a beautiful campus that includes greenery as well.
The hostel services and the premises of BIET are cheaper and aren’t well-furnished.
As Jhansi is in Bundelkhand and it is a small city, BIET doesn’t provide good facilities because of its location.
On the contrary, the students of JSS Noida have the access to prepare for any other competitive exams like CAT, UPSC, GATE, CSE, ESE, GMAT/GRE and many more.
Noida is near Ghaziabad, which is the NCT of Delhi and many coaching institutes run in Ghaziabad.
This fortunate opportunity isn’t available for the students of Jhansi.
