Association for Welfare of the Handicapped Engineering College (AEC) is one of the best engineering colleges in the state. The college is managed by Association for Welfare of the Handicapped; today AWH has 86 institutions dealing with all aspects of disability welfare and general, reaching over 10,000 beneficiaries annually.

• Central Facilities- The college provides transport facilities for staff and students, The College provides separate Hostels for boys and girls., We have a well designed, state-of-the-art central computing centre, A fully automated modern Library & Information Centre (LIC) 
• Training & Placement Cell-This College has an independent placement office focused to cater to the needs of leading organizations in conducting campus interviews for the final year students of AWH Engineering College. It is headed by a senior professor with additional charge and supported by a fulltime, permanent placement coordinator. The office is assisted by student representatives from various branches of study.
• Sports & Games-   Play grounds are made available for football, cricket, volley ball and other sports activities. A 200 m track is laid for this purpose. Special coaching programs are conducted for the students to participate in inter college/University level sports competition
• Technical Activities-The HODs and senior faculty from EEE and ECE Departments attended the 22nd annual convention of ISTE, Kerala Section held at Vidya Academy of Science and Technology, Trichur in November 2011.
