A.V.C. College of Engineering (AVCCE) is one of the esteemed engineering institutes in Tamil Nadu state, started in the year 1996. Affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and reputed as one of the first self-financing colleges in Nagapattinam district, it offers seven B.E. courses, three M. E. course and MBA and MCA programs. The department of Mechanical Engineering has an intake capacity of 72 students, 60 for Information Technology and 36 each for the other B.E. programs. The intake for M.E. programs is 14 seats for each course.

- B.E. / B. Tech candidates need to qualify 10+2 in science stream with PCM as compulsory subjects.

- ME candidates can apply with their GATE score.
- If a valid GATE score is not available, TANCET candidates are given preference unless the candidate is applying through management quota.
- Candidates applying for M.E. program are selected through a counselling process and on the basis of GATE score.
- Candidates without a valid GATE score are required to take the TANCET exam.
- B.E. / B. Tech candidates are selected through TNEA counselling. Seats are allotted on the basis of marks obtained by the qualifying candidates in TNEA test.
- MBA and MCA candidates are selected on the basis of marks obtained in the last qualifying exam.
- Application forms can be filled and submitted online through the respective application portals
- Payment of fees can be made via credit/debit card or net-banking.
- Those applying through offline mode must send copies of educational documents and a copy of fee payment receipt along with the completed application form.

AVC College of Engineering offers full-time BE/ B.Tech degree programs under eight disciplines. Candidates applying for B.E. programs should have cleared 10+2 in science stream. Admission to any of the undergraduate programs offered by the institute is subject to merit and rank secured by the candidate in Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA).

Candidates seeking admission to BE/ B.Tech can apply for TNEA through both online and offline mode. Payment of the requisite fees can be paid online or via demand draft. The admission procedure remains same for all UG courses offered by AVC College of Engineering.
- Selection of candidates will be based on the marks obtained in the prescribed subjects reduced to 200 (Mathematics – 100, Physics + Chemistry – 100 in the qualifying examination).
- Candidates who are natives to Tamil Nadu can apply for TNEA counselling.
- Other state candidates who have studied VIII, IX, X, XI and XII standard in Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply.
- Sri Lankan Tamil refugee candidates are also eligible to apply for TNEA.
- The minimum required percentile for reserved categories is 45% for OBC & minority caste, 40% for SC/ST candidates

AVC College of Engineering invites application to various PG courses on the basis of several factors such as marks obtained in graduation, number of attempts in last qualifying exam and physical fitness.
- Candidates who have appeared for GATE/ TANCET are eligible to apply for direct admission.
- For admission to M.E. programs, the applicant should have a B.E. or B. Tech degree or a M.Sc. degree in the relevant discipline.
- Candidates with a graduate degree in any discipline can apply for MBA course.
- For MCA candidates, a bachelor’s degree in the allied discipline is a must.

AVC Application Process 2023
Candidates applying for undergraduate level engineering courses offered by A V C College of Engineering are required to register for TNEA counselling. The process of application is as follows:
- Candidate must register for TNEA by using his/her name, date of birth, gender, mobile number, email, 12th standard registration number and passing year.
- Once the registration is successful, the candidate can proceed to fill the online application form.
- All requisite details provided in the application form should be correct.
- Payment of TNEA application fee (Rs.500 for general candidates and Rs.250 for reserved category) can be done online.
- Candidate should take a printout of the complete application form for future correspondence.
- A copy of the printed application from, accompanied by photocopies of educational documents, must be sent to “Secretary, TNEA, Anna University, Chennai – 600 025,” on or before June 3, 2021.

For M.E. courses, it is mandatory that the candidates apply through TANCET counselling. The process of application for TANCET is as follows:
- Candidate can apply for TANCET 2021 by registering through the TANCET website.
- Both online and offline modes are available for TANCET registration.
- Candidates are required to send a copy of the complete application form and photocopies of all relevant documents to “The Secretary, TANCET, Anna University, Chennai”
- If the application fee has to be paid offline, a demand draft of INR 500 (INR 250 for reserved category) is to be enclosed with the application form.
- Shortlisted candidates will be intimated for counselling through which seats will be allotted.

Reservation
Reservation is offered as per norms set by Government of India. Tamil Nadu candidates are given first preference in comparison to other state candidates. Also, candidates who have appeared for TANCET are given preference compared to candidates who have appeared for GATE.
Candidates seeking admission against special reservation of seats under Eminent Sports Person quota should submit the online application, the special reservation form for Sports and payment details for INR 100 and copies of the relevant certificates in person to the Secretary TNEA. Such applications received by Post / Courier will be rejected under Sports Quota.
