Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Civil Engineering) From ACT College of Engineering and Technology, Kanchipuram

The institute offers admission to the B.E courses under 5 specializations. Higher Secondary Examination qualified students can apply for admission to the course.

Admission to the course will be based on the marks secured in the qualifying examination and TNEA Counselling.

Specializations

The total intake for EEE/CSE/Civil is 60 whereas for ECE/Mechanical it is 120 each.

Eligibility

Candidates seeking admissions to full time B.E course must satisfy either of the following criteria:

• Must have passed Higher Secondary /10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects
• Must have passed Higher secondary Vocational with Mathematics and other vocational subjects
• Must have passed Diploma with aggregate in pre-final and final semesters

Aggregate for different categories (Common for all criteria)

• OC and other State – 50%
• BC – 45%
• MBC/DNC – 40%
• SC/ST – Mere pass in the exam

Selection Criteria

Admissions are purely made on the basis of merit in qualifying exam followed by TNEA Counselling. For lateral entry to the second year, admissions are done on the basis of marks in diploma.
