In the field of medicine, particularly MBBS, there is no traditional concept of campus placements. After completing the MBBS degree, graduates are required to undertake a compulsory one-year internship, usually at associated hospitals like Lok Nayak Hospital, where they receive a stipend ranging from INR 15,000 to 30,000 per month. Post-internship, graduates often prepare for the NEET PG or NEXT exams to secure seats in postgraduate courses (MD/MS), which are considered as jobs with monthly salaries ranging from INR 80,000 to 90,000.
During residency, they work in hospitals affiliated with their colleges. Following postgraduation, individuals can pursue roles as senior residents or join private hospitals, research institutions, or open their clinics. The medical field offers abundant job opportunities, but the path requires continuous exams and personal job search efforts rather than conventional campus recruitment.
