- The School of International Development and Global Studies (SIDGS) offers interdisciplinary programs leading to a Master of Arts (MA) in International Development and Globalization and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in International Development.
- The master’s program is offered in collaboration with the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Law (common law and civil law), and the Faculty of Social Sciences and includes a co-op option.
- The SIDGS offers an interdisciplinary MA program that exposes students to a broad range of development theory, policy, and practice, while also permitting specialization in one of four fields: Conflict, Transitions, and Peace; Growth, Private Sector, and Social Inclusion; Livelihoods, Resources and Sustainability; and Social Movements, Equity, and Human Rights. Students have opportunities for hands-on practice through Co-op and international internships, as well as for networking with development policymakers and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in the federal capital.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- The student must have an honor’s bachelor’s degree in international development and globalization or a related field (e.g., international studies and modern languages, environmental studies, religious studies, economics, geography, history, sociology, political science).
- The minimum marks required are 70% or marks equivalent to Grade B+.
Language Requirments:
- The students must be able to understand and fluently speak the language of instruction (French or English) in the program. Proof of linguistic proficiency may be required.
- The students whose official language is not English must submit the English Language Proficiency scores like IELTS or TOEFL.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- The student must have any one of the Bachelor's degrees for 3 years or 4 years.
- The student who does Postgraduate Diploma is also welcomed into this program.
- If the passing marks in the respective degree are 40% then the marks required for this program are 50%
- If the passing marks in the respective degree are 50% then the marks required for this program are 60%
