Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • Applicants have an honors BSc in Biological Sciences or a degree in veterinary medicine or equivalent with a minimum B+ or (77% Ontario equivalent GPA) over the last two years of full-time study.
  • Proof of English proficiency may be required for international applicants, whose first language is not English.
  • Students must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL to get admission in this program.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

  • Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
  • Completed a master’s degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

Work Study

  • Students must maintain a minimum semester credit weight of 1.5 (1.0 for students with permanent disabilities) or registered in full-time studies for graduate students for the entire length of the Work-Study position.
  • Students must be approved for Work-Study by the Student Awards Office before they can apply for jobs through Experience Guelph.
  • Students must have a valid social insurance number.
  • In order to hold to the integrity and intent of the program, it is recommended that students do not work more than 10-15 hours per week.
  • Students are not permitted to hold two Work-Study jobs at the same time.
