The faculty was mostly good. There were a few professors which aren't recommended, however, overall, the experience was pretty good. I wanted to learn more about marketing, and the course structure helped with that tremendously. Julio Viskovich, Natalie Peace, Shiban, and Adina Gray were my favourite professors. The faculty-student ratio is about 1:30, which isn't too bad, especially because the classroom size is big.
My mom and dad paid the fees for both years. The first-year fee was submitted directly through the bank before my arrival in Canada. The second-year fees I paid through my credit card to build some credit history. My mom and dad paid me the money back instantly, so that helped.
I need to take 23 courses within a span of 2 years for graduating with a post-baccalaureate diploma in finance. The student-to-faculty ratio is good usually there will be almost 20-30 students in a class and also most of the professors are qualified as well. However, the university which was a college before has its own drawbacks as well with unstructured policies.
I pay nearly 1990CAD per course and the university increase the fees every year despite receiving funds from outside. This is a huge drawback and even though the university claims it's an adjustment for the inflation. I pay my fees before the beginning of every semester.
The course is good. No industrial experience due to the pandemic.
The course and papers made sense for what I wanted to pursue: Affordable course.
Up to date and great teachers who are really knowledgeable
TRU provides options to work on and off campus. They also have a co-op program where we can gain career related work experience before graduating
TRU will give you many opportunities to do research work in your program. The content of the program will depend on the professor and his way of teaching. I have an experience that will just make you study theoretical material. There are many professors who will use the simulation method to give a more practical approach. Most of the professors are good in their way of teaching. They will give more focus on the practical ways of doing the syllabus which I find worth pursuing in foreign countries. Also before the pandemic, they gave me the immense opportunity to discuss and know my classmates which is the most valuable part of education according to my experience.
19000 CAD is per year program fee.
The faculty is making a huge work making the course curriculum but again it depends on the teacher of a course. Usually, it is good because professors make it together. You can have some Midterms and tests. Then it is easier to get prepared for an exam.
For international students, 1 semester (4 courses) is close to 8 000 CAN$ depending on your program and additional fees like gym, bus or newspaper. There are some scholarships available for international students. You can apply once a year. You can search for a scholarship using our university service. Some of them can be for a specific program or something like this.
