TRU is one of the best experiences anyone can get. For an average student like me, you get more than average rating University which has a good campus and can explore a lot of things in the University from joining clubs to being part of all the activities. One of the other reasons is diversity which is difficult to find in many colleges in Canada but fortunately, TRU will give that opportunity, especially in non-business courses.

Course Curriculum

8

TRU will give you many opportunities to do research work in your program. The content of the program will depend on the professor and his way of teaching. I have an experience that will just make you study theoretical material. There are many professors who will use the simulation method to give a more practical approach. Most of the professors are good in their way of teaching. They will give more focus on the practical ways of doing the syllabus which I find worth pursuing in foreign countries. Also before the pandemic, they gave me the immense opportunity to discuss and know my classmates which is the most valuable part of education according to my experience.

Exams

IELTS - Writing 6.5, Speaking 7, Listening 7.5, Reading. Total minimum bands 6. I only gave IELTS for my program although students may require GMAT for other programs.

Placement

5

TRU does organize job fairs every year but they generally are the awareness purpose. I would say out of 10 only 6 people have got a job after the completion of their studies in their field by doing it independently and not with help of the University. University will help you in deciding and making plans for the career basically assisting students to find a job.

Internship

No, I didn't get an internship.

Events

TRU has the best resources in British Columbia. They have huge campuses compared to some Universities and Colleges. Students can get many resources for completing their work. The University got 3 huge libraries, cafes, and many other places to do your work or just hang around. They have on-campus housing for International students as well. Because of the pandemic, I have not explored many on-campus activities but TRU will keep you busy and they always have something going on on campus. You can join clubs and unions and participate in the competition at the national level.

Fees

19000 CAD is per year program fee.

Scholarship

No, I didn't receive any scholarship.

Faculty

7

TRU is the only place where there will be just 20 students or maybe just 10 students. However, I did have classes where there were 40 students but again depends on the course and the professor. 90% of professors will be very helpful and approachable.

Hostel

I live in a townhouse with 3 other people. I chose to live off campus because it is cheap and gets more resources. I live near the university and my rent is 400 CAD for the personal room.
