Graduate students in the microbiology program work within, and often across, multiple disciplines of basic and applied environmental sciences.
Specialties within the program include environmental and ecological economics, environmental health and toxicology, forest ecology, fish and fisheries biology, landscape ecology, limnology, micrometeorology, soil science, and wildlife biology.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent as recognized by McGill University) in a subject closely related to the one selected for graduate work.
A minimum equivalent CGPA of 3.0/4.0 (second class–upper division) or a minimum GPA of 3.2/4.0 during the last two years of full-time university study.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent as recognized by McGill University) in a subject closely related to the one selected for graduate work from institutions with a NAAC rating of “A”.
The university degree, described above, must have been completed with a minimum standing of 3.3/4.0 or the equivalent, according to the grading scale on the transcript.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
