Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students have to complete BEng or BASc from an accredited UG engineering program with research experience.
- Students must hold 4 year BSc in the physical sciences (e.g. Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, etc.) and BSc in the biological sciences (e.g. Biophysics, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, etc.) with research experience.
- A minimum mid-B average during the student’s undergraduate coursework (with a minimum average of A- over the last 2 years) will be required.
- Students have submitted a GRE Aptitude and Advanced scores in one of the sciences are recommended for all students whose undergraduate work has been completed outside Canada.
Work Experience:
Students must have research experience include a research thesis, senior research project, or equivalent work experience determined in consultation with the School of Biomedical Engineering.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Or, completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Or, completed a 3-year undergraduate degree from an accredited institution.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.

- Confirmation of Employment Form: Students must be emailed as an attachment by applicant or referee.
