Dalhousie University offers a Doctor of Philosophy in Anatomy and NeuroBiology for a duration of 4 years.

As a PhD student, they have no formal course requirements. Students must complete at least one credit of required courses if they have not previously taken core courses in anatomical sciences.

Students must pass a PhD preliminary (oral) exam, designed to test the depth and breadth of their knowledge in areas related to their research.
Students are encouraged to take the exam in their second or third year of PhD study, and it must be taken at least one year before their PhD thesis defense.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students have to complete the thesis Master’s degree or it's equivalent from a first-class division from the recognized university.
A minimum GPA of at least 3.0/4.33 (B grade) in the last 60 credit hours of study is required to be eligible for the program.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they have completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
