Admissions to Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) take place in three intakes majorly Spring, Summer, and Fall. Canadian Mennonite University International Student Admissions

CMU accepts students from all around the globe, provided they have satisfied the country-specific requirements, provided proof for funding, and submitted their applications by the given deadlines. The admission procedure is almost similar to that of the domestic students but some extra steps need to be taken by the international students for successfully applying to CMU.

English Proficiency Test Scores for International Students

International students need to submit their standardised test scores of TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo English test scores, etc to demonstrate English language proficiency. These scores should not be more than 2 years old. The minimum scores required by the university are as follows:

Canada Visa for International Students

If the applicant satisfies the eligibility criteria and submits all the required documents along with their application form, they will be receiving an acceptance letter from CMU from the Admission Coordinator. The following steps need to be followed after receiving it:

  • To apply for a study permit the applicant needs to fill the online application form as encouraged by Canadian immigration. The electronic acceptance letter will be issued by CMU which can be used to apply online for a student visa to study in Canada.
  • The “Final” acceptance letter will only be issued once the applicant has submitted all the official transcripts and finished their current educational program.
  • This Final acceptance letter will be required to enter Canada and continue their studies at CMU
  • The applicant will also be requiring a Visitor Visa or eTA to be able to enter Canada
  • Applicants must consult the CIC Visa website before planning the travel to Canada

Canadian Mennonite University Undergraduate Admissions

CMU offers 29 undergraduate courses including Business & org. admin, Communications and Media, Biology, English, Political Studies, Arts and Science, Peace & conflict transformation studies, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, etc. Applicants need to send their transcripts directly to CMU via mail, fax, or email.

Canadian Mennonite University Graduate Admissions

CMU offers 7 graduate degrees and accepts applications through its online application portal. The graduate admission requirements vary by program, so applicants must check the respective program’s webpage for admission requirements.

Overview

I choose CMU because the classes are a small size and the professors take time to learn your name. Due to small class sizes, the professors can offer extra time after class to answer any questions you might have and can provide extra help if needed.
