This college was closer to home rather than the others like Humber and Sheridan that I applied to. It was easier for me to stay at home rent free and have food for free as well. Also close to friends.
Course Curriculum
It was okay. Wish we learned more about current advertising rather than traditional. It needs to be updated so graduates can have the experience of modern advertising when going out into the working world.
Exams
I didn't take any of those.
Placement
The job opportunity is actually pretty good with georigan (so I hear). I got a job after with my internship so I would say it\'s pretty good for students graduating from the advertising and marketing program.
Internship
Yes my program had a placement/internship. I currently still work at the same place I attended my internship. Thought nothing I learned from the program helped in knowing what do to do, it was my favourite part.
Events
There was one networking event that I went to at Georgian but mostly events came from the restaurant and bar on campus that hosted trivia nights, karaoke, contests and more at Georgian college. They should have more
Fees
My program cost about $8,500 in totally for the two years of advertising and marketing communication program. The structure was mostly big assignments with actual clients that we worked for in a sense.
Scholarship
I did not have finacial aid. I used Ontario Student Association Program to help with the cost of my Advertising and Marketing Communications program at georigan college
Examination Structure
Half of your mark comes from assignments. Usually just one. And exams weren\'t really a huge part of your grade. My program was mostly hands on, not so much written knowlegde of the curriculum at Georgian
Hostel
Not applicable for me. I stayed at home for the two years I went to Georgian college since it was close to home and cheaper for me to live there and not pay rent and have food I don't have to pay for.
